We always
talk about Freedom, Equality and Women Empowerment. But actually do we know where
do we exist? How many women are really having her basics rights?
In
spite of over six decades of Independence, in spite of India making rapid
progress in science, technology and other fields, Women in India are still living in Slavery of typical rituals and myths. There is still Domestic
Violence against women, Discrimination against girl children, illegal
abortions. More than 80 % women are still illiterate, In some region of India
“Baal Vivah” is still happening. More than 95 % of women do not have even basic
decision powers. Before being a married
she has to follow her father or brothers and after marriage she has to follow
her husband instructions. Then where our women stand? What about their freedom?
